My name is Gineke Pranger. This website showcases my work as a director and records the unfolding of my non-linear and cross-disciplinary artistic practice, which is rooted in my studies of early and contemporary music, as well as theatre and opera. Manifesting in sound-intensive theatrical works, my practice is related to performance- and sound art, as well as music theatre and storytelling, and aims to provoke radical ways of listening and imagining. Some of my works are created especially for young audiences.

Despite this being a personal website, my work was developed in close collaboration with other storytellers, creators, artists and institutions, and is therefore a collective (unfinished) oeuvre. In varied interdisciplinary settings, I take on the roles of director, writer or dramaturge. Artistic research forms the foundation of all of my work.
